Prototyping Week 2
In this week's devlog we will discuss all the changes and new features we made during this week of prototyping!
Mechanics:
-Dynamic camera that follows the players so you still have a clear view of the cars (they were tiny before).
-Base powerup class from where we derive all powerups we create. These powerups are displayed in a box and can be picked up.
-Airstrike powerup that drops a bomb after a short period of time when used, this is indicated with a marker (see GIF).
-Powernose powerup that gives extra knockback to the player you hit with your cart.
-Added a blizzard. This causes the cars to lose a lot of friction which makes them hard to control.
Art:
-Skysphere around the map
-Added snowy textures
-Added trees, statues and rocks
-Niagara Emitter for snow
During this week we didn't really have any issues and the communication went well.
With all these things we are ready to move into the production sprint!
